Jet2.com Charity Football Match
Jet2.com cabin crew raise over a £1000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Yesterday Jet2.com staff based at Manchester airport battled it out in a charity challenge football match in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care!
Match organizers, cabin crew members Chris Redfern and Paul Houlihan, had their own personal reasons for holding the match, after Paul’s dad received care from the Marie Curie Nursing Service.
Jet2.com won the match 10-7 against a team of local opponents, and Chris and Paul hope to make the football match an annual fundraising event. Paul said, “Whilst the game was a bit of fun, it also had a serious side to it. My dad was diagnosed terminally ill with cancer and the care Marie Curie provided was amazing, not to mention the support and advice they gave. It is something I will personally never forget, which is why we decided to do this as a way of giving something back to a very special charity.”
So if you fancy taking on the victorious Jet2.com team in aid of charity – why not take them on?
